Once you have decided on the way your special garment should look, design, colours and fabric our esteemed patternmaker, Ashraaf, comes in at the very beginning, the most important part of your garments creation. Ashraaf has been with us for many, many years and we have trusted him and not been disappointed, too many times to count. We value him dearly.
The illustration we have agreed on is then interpreted by him and assisted CAD (Computer Aided Design) the pattern is shaped and if necessary reshaped, tweaked and changed until your specific measurements are achieved and we are satisfied that your garment will fit perfectly.
Only then do we move onto our fabric room and pull your desired fabric choice.
Once the fabric is cut, the fabric and the pattern will then go through our mini-graders system.
Your pattern gets graded into your measurements on the computer and then a marker gets made to pass onto our cutting room.
The marker is printed onto sheets of brown paper, which gets laid onto the fabric.
In our cutting room, run by our very efficient, Maria, the fabric gets laid carefully and ready for cutter to cut out your various fabric pieces.
Sheila then oversees our CMT and we also value her tremendously, having been in the clothing industry all her life and knows absolutely everything, we believe. Nothing gets past her.
We have a small production room where our loyal seamstresses make up your garment.
Once your garment is complete it will go through our quality control for checking and this is done with fanatical attention to detail.
The final stage is having the garment steamed, pressed and placed in your personalised quality packaging.
